Rappers Public Enemy Said To Turn TV Off And Go Read A Book
I was listening to Public Enemy last night. I very much enjoy the album It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back. An excellent song on that album is She Watch Channel Zero.
In this song, Public Enemy criticizes the quality of most television programs. At the end of the song, the band exhorts listeners to “turn that garbage off…read a book or something..learn about your culture.”
How simple and correct these words are. Turn the TV off and read a book.
I am a fan of clear concise communication. Find someone you care about today and tell them to turn the TV off and to pick up a book.
