All People Matter

What Is America?

What is America?

I believe America is the rule of law, the acceptance of the results of free and fair elections, and the inclusion of people of all kinds in the national life.

What America is not is any specific religion, skin color or language.

This does not mean people should not learn English. It does mean that if America is a majority Spanish-speaking nation in 100 years, that it could still be an America of laws, democracy and inclusion.

America is both a political state and a product of the imagination.

This is my view of America.

  3. I agree. America is a melting pot. That is what is so great about our country…the freedom we have/had. But because we are hitting an over population problem in many areas we should make sure that people are immigrating legally.

  5. You know I just had a rather lengthy conversation about this, and at the end I determined that my ethnicity is American. American culture is all that I know, and I am damn proud of it. I served in OIF, and am a retired veteran now. God damn Iove this country… (Esko, from listentomepeople.wordpress)
