On Mr. Obama’s Reelection

The outcome of the election yesterday was hopeful enough.

When I reflect on the liberal leanings of many I know, and when I think about how these are hard-working, tax-paying folks who value longterm friendships and the virtues of honesty and inclusion—I’m mystified at the screaming and anger on the other side.

And I’m mystified by the anger at a moderate center-left President.

This is the 5th time in the last six Presidential elections that Republicans have lost the popular vote. I’m heartened that at the highest level of our politics, that anger, fear and exclusion do not carry the day.

  1. And our country is no better off now than four years ago. It is blatantly obvious that America has not learned it’s lesson from four years ago, and have gotten exactly what they asked for: abortion is now ok, homosexuality is now ok, and a myriad of other wrongs, are now “ok”. Woe to us as an alleged “Nation under God”. His wrath is mighty. Woe to us.

  2. I await the wrath of your alleged god . I doubt he will show up with a clear message.

Keep in mind thaw Ike hit Houston while White was still mayor. Since the election of Parker, no hurricanes. Does your alleged god love dykes?

  3. JV—You offer a contrasting view.

bacopa—God sent Sandy to convert Governor Christie and doom Mr. Romney.
