Common Cause Looking For Grassroots Poll Monitors in Harris County—Protect Our Right To Vote
With early voting beginning in Texas, it is important that the right to vote be protected. Common Cause has been working in Texas to make sure that one of our most basic rights is not wrongly threatened. Read below to learn about Common Cause training to become a poll watcher in this election. What you see below is a Common Cause press release. Common Cause doesn’t seem much different than True the Vote, which you were against two weeks ago. How do these two organizations differ in your opinion?
My view is that the difference is that True The Vote began an effort to disenfranchise legitimate voters while Common Cause seeks only to allow legitimate voters under attack for no good reason to vote.

I think you are seeing a glass half full and another half empty. True the Vote wanted “pollsters” to feel like the police were driving behind them, not the voters…as you may have inferred. I think the two groups are actually striving for the exact same thing.
