Classic Shopping Cart In Water Photo

Here is your classic shopping cart in the water photo.

I’m a traditional person.

I’ll look for a mattress or couch by the side of road photo to also post on the blog.

That shopping cart is in Brays Bayou in Houston.

I took this picture in the very nice Mason Park in Houston.

Here is a history of shopping carts.

  1. The show “How It’s Made” did a really neat bit on shopping carts. It takes surprisingly few operations to make one.

  2. Maybe they should make one that floats.

  3. You may think of shopping carts in the water as an eyesore, but the carts in Bray’s Bayou form artificial reefs that are the spawning ground of the threatened San Saba estuarine mullet.

I just made that up, though there is some kind of mullet-looking fish that swims up Bray’s Bayou during a good chunk of the year. I’m talking tens of thousands of fish. Any reader know what they are? I hope they are not an invasive species.
