If You Want A Better World, You Are Going To Have To Speak Up
If you want a better world, you are going to have to speak up.
You are going to have to step up to the podium.
I can go on posting here about any number of outrages. And to some extent, that is what I will keep doing at this blog.
But in the end it is up to you to attend a public meeting, attend or organize a protest, write or call an elected official, talk to friends and family, start a blog, donate money, write a letter to the editor, volunteer for candidates and causes you value, and even run for office yourself.
I can’t stress this enough.

I define liberalism as a role for government in the economy to help make life more fair, and a broad acceptance of people regardless of who they are.
This is why it says “All People Matter” at the top of the blog.

There’s a Teacher’s protest rally protesting state cuts and the refusal of Perry and Dewhurst to use the “rainy day” fund in part for this, coming up in Austin, March 12th. ibwoodgate–I plan a post promoting that rally. There is also going to be rally in Houston about state budget cuts on March 15 at Houston City Hall.
