When And Where Is The 2010 Houston Martin Luther King Parade?—I Will Tell You

When and where is the Houston Martin Luther King Parade for 2010?

It begins on Monday, January 18 at 10 AM at the intersection of Allen Parkway & Taft.

Here is the web home of the parade.

How can one learn more about Martin Luther King?

One way to begin learning more about Dr. King is to read my Martin Luther King Reading & Reference List.

This list is the best such resource on the web.

Please have an excellent Martin Luther King Day for 2010.

  1. I’ve grown up in Houston and for as long as I can remember there’s been a huge war over which of the two MLK parades is the “official” parade. The conflict dates back at least to the late 70s and there was plenty of bad blood back then.

If I had the day off I’d show up to support the underdogs on Taft even though a bigger parade will start on Texas Avenue.

  2. I’ve created a simple animated video to be a satire of 2009 in houston politics.
