Protests Ongoing In Iran

Protests in Iran are ongoing.

Global Voices has links to blogs and people using Twitter who are reporting about events in Iran.

Here is the blog Revolutionary Road. This blog is based in Iran.

Here is the BBC on Iran.

These protests have been taking place for a week now. These are people serious about being more free. They merit our support.

  1. 11 million votes fixed? extreme but possible but not likely. i feel bad for 1/3 of the people that live there and how they want more. it makes me thankful for where i live. we can do so much better and more for our people and we all chose not to, that is the reality of it.

  2. If they can supress a whole country for so long, why could they not rig an election?

  3. i cant say they did not as much as i dont think they did. its easy to beleive that but again we all believe what we want more than we should. elections in our country are rigged to an exstent but the reality is that with the numbers so close here vs there i find it unlikely. maybe they thought if the rigged it over 10 million people would be as suspicious but my guess is that there are some people that are devout and people that fear a change they can not imagine. supression like religion jail marrige children that are molested leave them in a hopeless condition where they can not see any other way.
