Censure Texas State Representative Leo Berman

Texas State Representative Leo Berman, a Republican from Tyler, should be censured by the Texas House of Representatives. This is the view of  the leading political bloggers in Texas. It is the view of all   freedom-loving Texans.

Reasons for Mr. Berman’s censure by the full Texas House of Representatives, and a full account of his appalling, insensitive, hard-hearted, and racially charged behavior as a Member of the Texas House are found at Censureleo.com.

From CensureLeo.com

“On Thursday, February 18, 2009, State Rep. Leo Berman (R-Tyler) committed an act which we believe constitutes conduct unbecoming a member of the Texas Legislature—for which he should be censured by members of the Texas House of Representatives… After a panel discussion sponsored by Texas Employers for Immigration Reform, Rep. Berman was engaged in a heated verbal conflict with Harry Joe, a Chinese American immigration lawyer from Dallas…. Berman, who was invited to participate in a panel discussion to speak about a bill he authored requiring illegal immigrants to relocate to “sanctuary cities,” was approached by Mr. Joe after the session….Following their exchange, Berman told Harry Joe to “go home” (as in “back to China”) and “kiss my ass.”…While the Rules of the Texas House of Representatives set forth no specific standards for member decorum and behavior, it is clear to most people that Berman’s actions are clearly unbecoming a member of the Texas Legislature….The Texas House of Representatives should immediately censure Berman and condemn his conduct….We–netroots activists from across Texas–seek to see the Texas House of Representatives pass a resolution censuring Rep. Berman. Using this site, you can find out how to contact your Representative to urge them to support a censure resolution, and how to contact House Speaker Joe Straus to demand that the Speaker formally and officially condemn Rep. Berman’s conduct.”

Please visit CensureLeo.com and see what steps you can take to make sure that Mr. Berman is called to account for his poor behavior while in the performance of his duties as an elected representative of the people in the State of Texas.

  3. I think that Rep. Leo Berman is doing the right thing. I’m tired of all the illegals getting free health, free food stamps, free education, etc. There are alot of us Americans who need help & can’t get it because the illegals are using up all our tax dollars that we Americans work so hard for. I’m tired of those who are here that don’t want or care to try and speak English. Why should I, born and raised here in America have to learn all those languages of those who come into this country legal and illegal to get a job, they should learn and know English. When I lived overseas for at least 8-9 yrs I learned to speak the countries I lived in their language and customs, they need to do the same here. I support Rep. Leo Berman on these subjects. I’m tired of the give-a-ways for these illegals, period and there are many, many more who feel the same way as I. Stop harboring and giving our hard earned tax dollars to illegal!!!

  4. Dodee the givaway has been to haliburton and the contractors in the war, the giveaway has been with the deregulation of busiess to allow so many american jobs to leave our country, the giveaway has been to the rich via the bush tax breaks where they have fleeced what was left of a surplus that was left for the besh era. the giveaway is that we have lost or credit on the street because we tortured, the giveaway was by the american people voting for that ass two terms and letting him destroy our country and our reputation. Lets get the numbers straight here.

  6. Nice try Neil, but Representative Leo Berman should be APPLUADED for his forthright no-nonsense approach to politics! He speaks for MILLIONS of Texans who fully agree with and support his efforts. “Censure” you say? Why? Simply because he doesn’t agree with YOUR point of view? Is Leo Berman not entitled and legally responsible for speaking for the constituents he represents?

Furthermore, your claim that “This is the view of the leading political bloggers in Texas” is absolutely baseless and completely without merit, what factual statistics do you have to support your ludicrous statement? Or is it that you are simply delusional and prone to wild exaggerations? The facts are; Texas is by FAR more Conservative in both the general consensus as well as the majority of “political bloggers”, I being one of the afore mentioned.

Neil, your “demands” and your tactics are ridiculous and oh so typical of the leftwing extremists groups who so often falsely believe “they” are entitled to their own points of view while denying the same right to anyone that disagrees with them.

Either way Neil, keep on spewing your ridiculous and unfounded BS, every time you open your mouth you PROVE how delusional and irresponsible you truly are. 😉 (Notice how I do not attempt to “censure” you nor deny you your 1st Amendment rights)

  7. Censure you say! For what? What has he done deserving of censure? Give me a reason for censuring Representative Leo Berman? The above is not reason it is one complaint! Rep Leo speaks forthrightly? That is not a reason for censure! To speak forthrightly is why he is a Texas Representative. We need more like him to speak up for constituents. Seems to me, that is what he is paid to do! So, why does the author want Leo Berman censured? What are the authors motives as they are obviously not the Will Of The People? The author should be censured for wishing to censure the Will of the People! In fact, this author should withdraw from the Texas House of Representatives or be fired from same for attempting to get the Will of the People censured!
Carry on Texas Representative Leo Berman. That is the Will of My Vote which represents thousands.

  8. Neil:

We have federal laws with regard to illegal immigration, and they are not enforced. People should come to our country legally, and should become citizens within a specified number of years, if they are to remain.

Representative Berman is doing the right thing. He is a retired Colonel, patriot, and of course a representative who gets high marks for fiscal responsibility.

Please purchase the DVD series “John Adams” and watch the entire series. Then purchase the book, “A Miracle That Changed the World” by Skousen. Read it. Then purchase “Almost a Miracle” by John Ferling. Read it. You will then have educated yourself on the foundations of our Republic. Perhaps you will modify your views when you study the history of our Republic.

  10. Take a look at how our illustrious leader, Leo Berman likes to talk to his voting constituents. This speaks volumes about the man’s character:

    Mr Pearson

I’ m sorry about your outrage but I’m outraged about your comments. In the course of their work, our law enforcement officers have every right to check immigration status without profiling. I’m going to see that they have that right in Texas. My oath of office may not mean anything to you but it means everything to me. Leo Berman. God bless AZ
