Top Texas Blogger–That Being Myself–Joins Denton County, Texas Democratic Party Facebook Group

At the request of Denton County citizen and Democratic activist Judith Ford, I’m pleased to announce the I’ve joined the Facebook page of the Denton County, Texas Democratic Party!

Ms. Ford is precinct chair for precinct 224 in Denton County. Her blog is called Castle Hill Democrats. Ms. Ford reads this blog often and I sure do appreciate it.

I’m pleased to be part of this Denton County group and I encourage everyone on Facebook to seek it out and join up.

Here is the link to the Denton County Democratic Party.

Here is information on Denton County. It is in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and over 400,000 people live there. Above is a picture of the county courthouse.

I have two friends in Denton County. Ms. Ford and Stephen Southwell. Stephen writes the leading Texas political blog Who’s Playin?

Hello Denton County!!!!!!!

  1. Thanks for posting about us, Neil! Sure do appreciate the publicity. We are working our behinds off up here just north of Dallas, turning our county blue.

Ok, so we’re no where near blue…we’re purple. SOLIDLY purple, though, and proud of it! But we won’t rest, even when we get to blue.

Anyone who wants to support our organization on Facebook is free to join. You don’t have to live in Denton County to support us on facebook!

As you know, I love your blog, Neil. You expose me to all kinds of new information, and that’s always a good thing. I look forward to meeting both you and “Mrs. Texas Liberal” one day.

  2. No offense to you or the Denton Dems, Neil, but Texas’ best blogger just passed. I think the title should probably remain vacant for an appropriate length of time.

  3. Judith–Thanks for your kind comments. I do hope that the wife and I can make it Denton County someday.

Perry–Thanks for reminder about Houston Chronicle Cancer Diva blogger Terry Hayes and for the link. Her loss will be felt across the city.

  4. Thanks to you and PDiddie for introducing me to Cancer Diva blogger Terry Hayes. The tribute in the Chronicle and her blog brought her very much to life. She reminds me so much of my dearest friend, Judy, who lived her five years with colon cancer and breast cancer in very much the same way and same spirit. Judy died before there were blogs but I remember the things she said and did and wrote in her journal. It’s the Terrys and the Judys and the far too many thousands like them who remind us of the lives we should be living, not lamenting.
