Hillary Clinton Orders Chili In Cincinnati—Veteran Reporter Covers The Event As Newspapers Divert Resources To The Web

Hillary Clinton was in Cincinnati today and she ordered some Cincinnati chili from Skyline Chili.

Above is a picture of Cincinnati chili from Skyline. It’s chili covered by spaghetti, cheese and some oyster crackers.

Long time Cincinnati Enquirer political reporter Howard Wilkinson, who was been known to read this blog as one of the many blogs he reads to keep fully informed, was forced by his superiors to give live updates on this routine campaign event for the Enquirer’s politics blog.

At least my guess is he was forced.

Or maybe he just figured he could pick up lunch on the clock.

This event was covered for the web because newspapers are diverting resources to the web while the resources for the print edition decline.

Mrs. Clinton visited the Skyline location in the Oakley neighborhood of Cincinnati.

I have eaten at that location a few times. I have never seen anybody famous there during my visits.

  1. I never saw anyone even remotely famous at the Oakley Skyline, and that place was like a second home to me in high school. My Cincinnati celebrity sightings are as follows: I saw Dave Concepcion at Bob Evans in Kenwood a couple of times. He used to eat there before Sunday home games. How he managed to play shortstop with a belly full of sausage is beyond me. I saw Adrian Belew at Uno’s in Clifton once. And that guy from Blessid Union of Souls at some Indian restaurant in Clifton. Any word on whether Hillary put hot sauce on her chili? And how many hours until the republican attack machine comes up with this headline: HILLARY HAS 3-WAY IN CINCINNATI ?

  2. C’mon… Only Bill has 3-Ways. 🙂

Famous? No. But I did once stand behind a local celebrity once at the Oakley Skyline — none other than former WXIX (and current Web Meteorologists) Rich Apuzzo!
