Mayan Elder Says World Not Ending In 2012—What The Hell Does He Know?

Guatemalan Mayan Indian elder Apolinario Chile Pixtun

A Mayan elder insists the world will not be ending in 2012.

Here is some of what Apolinario Chile Pixtun (AP photo above) of Guatemala says—

“Apolinario Chile Pixtun is tired of being bombarded with frantic questions about the end of the world. “I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff,” he said….Mr Pixtun says the doomsday theories spring from Western, not Mayan ideas.”

Here is the full story.

I don’t know what this guy is talking about. Everybody knows the world is ending on December 21, 2012.

I’m just glad the world is going to go out by the hand of  pagan Mayans and not by some right-wing rapture.

That’s what Christians get for wiping out so much of Mayan civilization.

Here is a 2012 news and information blog.

There are many good articles at this blog.

Articles such as—

Balloon Boy Dad Has 2012 Fears.

From the above story—“Heene believes the world is going to end in 2012,” she said. “Because of that, he wanted to make money quickly, become rich enough to build a bunker or something underground, where he can be safe from the sun exploding.”

2012 Bunker Sales Booming.

2012 Solar Peak to be More Severe.

This is all good stuff and I’ve added the 2012 blog to my blogroll.

Folks–The gig is going to be up for all of us very soon.

So please be certain to visit Texas Liberal as often as you’re able in the time we have left. After 2012 this blog is done.

Here is some basic history of the Mayans from a website set up by Washington State University.

  1. to me bunkers sound like a cool place for kids to get high. what is wrong with our country and its citizens? if the world was coming to end do you really want to be the last ones standing or hiding in a bunker like the dead dictator from iraq?

  5. If you really honestly believe that the world will end in 2012, here’s what you need do. Find a very short pier and take a very long walk off it. You’ll help us all by removing your overly credulous ass from the gene pool.

Not the ancient Mayans, nor you, nor anyone else, can predict the future. If you want to know what this insane hype is really about, there is plenty of sane, rationally-minded information available. And it ain’t from twerps like this guy.

Who knows? Maybe some cosmic catastrophe will happen to hit us on that specific day and wipe out all life. But you know what? The odds of that happening are exactly the same as the odds of it happening today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or on some arbitrary day 50,000 years from now.

As for me, I’m going to celebrate the solstice on that day as I do every year and I plan to have a good old laugh at the inevitable news of some random death cult who chose that day to make their offing. Good riddance.

  6. There will be change but not The End of The World. Instead it’s the New Age. Here are the four major change that will take place. Financial System, Government, Religion, and Media.
