European Union Says Don’t Visit U.S.—What Will Europeans Be Missing?

The European Union has recommended that people avoid non-essential travel to the United States.

This is so they will not catch the Swine Flu.

Though a case has already been confirmed in Spain.

( Please click here for Swine Flu facts and for handwashing information.)

What will European travelers be missing?

They’ll be missing the Milwaukee Art Museum.

They’ll be missing the world’s tallest thermometer in Baker, California.

They’ll be missing hot dogs at Wein-O-Rama in Cranston, Rhode Island.

They’ll be missing the Florida Scrub Jay. This bird lives only in Florida. The Florida Scrub Jay is “blue and friendly”

I don’t think people in Europe should avoid coming to America just because of some Swine Flu.

  1. The European Union is advising avoidance of non-essential travel. If this is truly a life-and-death threat here, I wonder what would qualify as essential travel? . . .

  3. Did the Milwaukee Art Museum look like that in the late 80’s? There may have been a big argument in the parking lot then but was that structure there?

  4. Peggy–Maybe if you were coming here for a transplant and the donor did not have the frequent flyer miles tp get to Europe and because of the recession did not have the money to fly to Europe. Right? This happens all the time.

M.T. Myers—You’ll notice an absence of widgets on this blog because I have no idea how to install them. Thank you for your kind comment.

Newton–Nope. It’s new. You’ll have to see it next time life takes you to Milwaukee.
