150,000 Views & 2000 Comments—Thank You Blog Reading Public
I’m fortunate to be able to report that Texas Liberal passed 150,000 views today.
Also, a few weeks ago Texas Liberal took its 2000th comment.
While for some blogs those numbers are chump change, I know that in the blog scheme of things it is a decent accomplishment.
This blog began regular posting on July 25, 2006.
The blog took around 30,000 views in the first year. Since last July I’ve received 120,000.
My goal for 2008 was to reach 1000 views a day. I’m running around 925 for the past 60 days. I’m almost there.
Then I’ll set a new goal.
Thanks to everyone who has read the blog and who has left a comment. A blog grows one reader at a time. If you like what you read here, please consider forwarding the link to someone else.
I’m also one of eight featured political bloggers at the Houston Chronicle, and I blog at Where’s The Outrage? which posts out of North Carolina.

Welcome To Texas Liberal

Texas Liberal is a blog of politics and political history.
Additional focuses of the blog are books, art, poetry, personal relationships and, also, sea life and marine mammals.
I live in Houston, Texas and I do sometimes write about political issues in Houston and in Texas.
I also often write about my former hometown of Cincinnati, and about the great beach city of Galveston, Texas.
I define liberalism as a role for government in the economy to help make life more fair, and a broad acceptance of people regardless of who they are.
This is why it says “All People Matter” at the top of the blog.
