Congratulations To Protestors Who Disrupted Olympic Torch Ceremony
Congratulations to the protesters who disrupted the torch lighting ceremony in Athens for the Beijing Olympic games.

Update 4/8/08 —Here is a story about further protests against the torch run. Protestors forced the torch to be extinguished in Paris.

The immediate cause of the protest was the Chinese denial of freedom in Tibet.
In addition to Tibet, the Chinese goverment denies political freedom to more than one billion people who live in China.
The Summer Olympics were held in Nazi Germany in 1936 and in the Soviet Union in 1980.
Here is the story about the torch lighting ceremony on the official web page of the U.S Olympic team. No mention is made here of the disruption.
How can our U.S. Olympic team represent American values when it ignores people fighting for freedom?

americans and america do not want to pay taxes no less more for the shit they buy from walmart and no one wants to really discuss the issue and that is american consumer greed has led to the blood letting of jobs out of this country. we want it cheap and fast and we dont care what its doing to the planet or our own economy. americans need to wake up and look at what they have done to themselves and quit pointing their fucking fingers at the rest of the world. we all have blood on our hands and its going to be the blood of our children and grandchildren if we do not wake up!
